                                                  Productive Homeschooling Back-to-School Sale

Note booking pages is running a $20 off sale from July 24-25

My purchase from them as much as 5 years ago has been the best buy I made in my homeschooling journey. Which is saying a lot because I tried so many new things over the past 24 years.

Note booking pages is NOT a curriculum. You can use it with whatever you are currently using which is what makes it such a great investment because no matter what twists and turns you make in your curriculum choices you can always use Notebooking pages.

It's a HUGE time saver! Especially if you're like me and love to create things but run out of precious time. Which is why I am so EXCITED about their page generator! Because while they have pre-made pages for tons and tons of topics. You may run into something special that you want that they haven't created yet. Enter the page generator. You can create your own using their templates and your pic and voila! It's done! No headache and no tears!

How in the World do I start?

Kids love to learn and do so naturally. All they need is guidance and enthusiasm. I hope to help you with both of these. This is a work in progress as I study with my own kids.   But let me introduce you to our learning style. I threw out all workbooks out of super frustration a long time ago and I haven't looked back, Not once. Other than to rejoice that I no longer have to be under that pressure.   When kids read a story they get involved and they assimilate it. They naturally come and regurgitate what they just read. Usually you don't even have to ask them. They are enthusiastic and they want you to know what they know.   With workbooks they seek information to answer questions and fill in blanks just to get the lesson done, and then promptly forget it all. Multiple choice is even worse.  While I believe in narration as a learning tool I also like to do notebooking because I like to document what they learn and they love their own books.   For a long time I made

So How Does Notebooking Work?

Notebooking has added a satisfying touch to schooling for me. I tried Lapbooking, which has the same purpose but is a bit more involved.    With Notebooking we have a theme page that has lines for writing, a printed picture and an empty spot for the kids to do their own drawing. Basically they have a paper they can fill with their own thoughts and creativity.   The beauty of it is, the kids create their own masterpeice about what they have learned and you as a mom can be satisfied that they are learning what they need to. Taking information and thinking it through and writing it on paper causes them to think about what they are learning. Plus you are documenting what they are learning.  I buy them each a binder and sheet protectors, You can use notebooking pages for pretty much every subject you cover. The only subjects I DON"T use them for is Math and Language Arts. Even though I am pretty sure you could use them for even those. Here is link to the Lifetime mem
