Kids love to learn and do so naturally. All they need is guidance and enthusiasm. I hope to help you with both of these. This is a work in progress as I study with my own kids. But let me introduce you to our learning style. I threw out all workbooks out of super frustration a long time ago and I haven't looked back, Not once. Other than to rejoice that I no longer have to be under that pressure. When kids read a story they get involved and they assimilate it. They naturally come and regurgitate what they just read. Usually you don't even have to ask them. They are enthusiastic and they want you to know what they know. With workbooks they seek information to answer questions and fill in blanks just to get the lesson done, and then promptly forget it all. Multiple choice is even worse. While I believe in narration as a learning tool I also like to do notebooking because I like to document what they learn and they love their own books. ...
